Due to the morning missile strikes by Russia and damage they caused to critical infrastructure, almost 50,000 consumers in Kharkiv and nearly 90,000 in Kharkiv Region were left without electricity, the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Synehubov, has said.
Problems with electricity supply led to problems with water and heat supply.
"Although with reduced pressure, we are doing everything possible to supply water to residents. Due to the low voltage, boiler houses that have already been supplying heat in Kharkiv and Chuhuyiv will immediately resume their work after stabilisation," he said.
He added that power engineers and utilities in Kharkiv Region are doing everything possible to restore electricity, water and heat supply as soon as possible.
At about 8.00 today, Russia launched missile strikes on Kharkiv Region. Tentatively, S-300 missiles were launched from Belgorod.
