The Ukrainian capital needs contingency plans for various scenarios, including the worst ones, mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has said on Telegram.
"A few days ago, journalists asked me: does the capital have a plan in case of blackout? I will answer again. In the situation of war in which we live, we need to have plans for different scenarios and emergencies. And be ready to act," the mayor said.
He noted that the city administration continues to purchase generators, heat guns, and equip heating stations.
"But we must be prepared for different scenarios, although we hope that the worst will not happen. Therefore, there is no reason for panic today. Kyiv lives and works," Klitschko added.
Earlier, the Kyiv city state administration said that the capital's authorities are not currently preparing for the full evacuation of residents.
