Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi has arrived in Ukraine to meet with Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhaylo Fedorov.
The parties discussed the company's large-scale support for Ukraine in 2022, Uber's commitment to continue it in 2023, as well as another donation of $1,500,000 through UNITED24.
In early December, UNITED24, in partnership with Uber, launched the Keep Ukraine Moving international fundraiser to buy ambulances and told the stories of brave Ukrainian drivers who help the country and save lives during the war.
The total raised amount and the donation made by the company reached $1,500,000.
During the meeting with Fedorov, Khosrowshahi announced a new Uber donation for C-type ambulances. The company will transfer another $1,500,000, doubling the raised sum. This brings Uber's total contribution in just one month of partnership with UNITED24 to $3,000,000.
The Uber team said that it would support the medical industry, education, culture and non-governmental organizations of Ukraine until the end of 2023.
