The Ukrainian energy sector is preparing for the next winter, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his evening address.
According to Zelenskyy, a special coordination meeting was held in Zhytomyr. The meeting focused, among other things, on the energy situation in Ukraine.
"We discussed in detail the security, economic and social situation in the region. There are decisions, in particular, to restore the energy sector after the Russian strikes. We are already preparing our energy sector for the next winter," the president said.
He added that there were also decisions on educational infrastructure, including providing regions with school buses.
Zelenskyy recalled that a reconstruction project with the participation of Estonia had been implemented in Zhytomyr Region. The reconstruction of a kindergarten in the city of Ovruch is to be completed by 1 June.
According to Ukrenergo, Russia has fired more than 1,200 missiles and drones at key energy facilities in Ukraine.
