Russia has concentrated more than 420,000 troops in the occupied territories of Ukraine - not including the Russian Guard and other security forces and structures of the Russian Federation that support the occupation authorities.

This was stated by Vadym Skibitskyy, representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, during a discussion at Yalta European Strategy.

The occupation contingent has a large number of tanks, armored vehicles, artillery systems, multiple launch rocket systems and missile systems.

Russia has deployed 46 Iskander missile launchers along the border with Ukraine, and it launches ballistic and cruise missiles, destroying Ukrainian civilian infrastructure.

According to Skibitskyy, Russia is conducting the most active hostilities on two frontlines - Kupyansk-Lyman and Maryinka-Donetsk. Their goal is to bring the occupation army to the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

"The aggressor strikes with weapons "from the assembly line" - what is produced at the enterprises of the Russian defence industry goes immediately to the army. In particular, this applies to missile weapons: in August, Russia struck Ukraine with missiles manufactured in the third quarter of 2023," Skibitskyy said.

The head of Ukrainian military intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, said that Ukraine's counteroffensive against Russian troops would continue even after the onset of cold or wet weather later this year.
