The Ukrainian Defence Forces destroyed a rather rare Russian 2S34 Hosta self-propelled artillery system and damaged a TOR surface-to-air missile system in the Tavriya sector, the commander of the Tavriya Operational Strategic Group of Forces, Oleksandr Tarnavskyy, has said.

According to Gen Tarnavskyy, Russia has increased the number of air strikes, 34 over the last day.

"They are dropping guided aerial bombs. Most of them in Donetsk Region. Several instances of using Ka-52 helicopters and Su-25 attack aircraft were also recorded. The enemy conducted 43 combat engagements and fired 914 artillery shells. They are concentrating their efforts in the areas of Avdiyivka and Novomykhaylivka," he said.

Total Russian daily losses in manpower amounted to 437 people and 60 pieces of military equipment.

In particular, one tank, 11 armoured personnel carriers, 10 artillery systems, one air defence system, 27 UAVs, nine vehicles and one unit of special equipment. One Russian ammunition depot was destroyed.
