In the afternoon of 9 June, Kharkiv came under Russian shelling. According to the mayor, the shelling hit a private residential area.
"Several houses were damaged. Information about possible casualties and injuries is being clarified," Terekhov added.
The head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Synyehubov, added that the Russian military attacked the regional centre with a guided bomb. A fire broke out as a result of the attack.
