Russia was planning an offensive on Zaporizhzhya in late October and early November, concentrated significant forces in this area, but was forced to abandon these plans.
This was reported to LB.ua by a source in the Ukrainian Armed Forces command.
According to the source, ‘the threat was very great, and Russia moved 2 divisions to the Zaporizhzhya direction’.
However, as a result of the actions of the Ukrainian military in the Kursk Region, Russia was forced to move one division to the Kursk direction.
‘At the same time, we are not removing the threat’ of an enemy offensive in the Zaporizhzhya sector, our source said.
According to him, ‘we can beat the enemy, who significantly outnumbers us. The enemy knows our strengths, so it is constantly stretching the front line to prevent the Ukrainian army from forming offensive groups.’
At the same time, the source said, ‘the enemy has swallowed a piece that it cannot swallow’.
