Ukrainian writer, volunteer and soldier Andriy Lyubka has received a joint distinction from the Poland–Lithuania Cooperation and Dialogue Forum (Forum Współpracy i Dialogu Polska–Litwa) and the Jerzy Giedroyc Forum (Jerzy Giedroyc dialogo ir bendradarbiavimo forumas). The announcement was made on the forum’s official Facebook page.

The ceremony took place at the Royal Castle in Warsaw. The writer himself was unable to attend, as he is currently serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the event, Bogumiła Berdychowska delivered a speech in his honour. Lyubka addressed the audience in a letter, which was met with a standing ovation. The organisers wished him strength and resilience in his new role as a soldier.

The award is presented to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the development of political, cultural, scientific and social relations in the region. Previous recipients include Serhiy Zhadan, Dmytro Kuleba, military chaplain Serhiy Dmitriyev and historian Nataliya Yakovenko.
