Today, 7 May, the Russian army attacked a train in Mykolayiv Region. The locomotive and carriages were damaged, but everyone is safe.

Ukrzaliznytsya’s press service reported this.

“The enemy is once again attacking Ukrzaliznytsya passenger rolling stock — this time in Mykolayiv Region. The locomotive and two protective carriages were damaged; everyone was in a safe place and suffered no injuries,” they said.

As soon as the air-raid alert ended, the company found a backup locomotive.

As a result, services No. 101/102 Mykolayiv–Lozova and No. 206 Mykolayiv–Kherson departed with delays of +2:11 and +1:11 respectively. Ukrzaliznytsya is asking passengers to stay alert and follow the train crew’s instructions.

  • Due to the increase in attacks on the railway, Ukrzaliznytsya is strengthening protection for its employees and is rolling out a nationwide network of more than 800 mobile shelters.
