Ukrainian Defence Forces struck a small missile ship in Russia’s Dagestan. The vessel is capable of launching Kalibr missiles. Ukrainian forces also hit Russian warehouses, a command post and other targets.

The strikes were reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During the night of 7 May 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces carried out strikes against a number of key Russian military targets.

In particular, near the naval base in Kaspiysk, Ukrainian forces struck a multipurpose Project 22800 Karakurt-class corvette, which is capable of launching Kalibr cruise missiles. The extent of the damage is currently being clarified.

Ukrainian forces also struck a Russian command post in Sosnivka and a Russian UAV command post near Yasne.

In addition, a Russian ammunition depot in Kalmykivka and a fuel and lubricants warehouse near Smolianynove were hit.

Ukrainian troops also struck concentrations of Russian personnel near Dersove and Smile.

  • Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about a strike on a Karakurt-class ship. During that operation, a patrol boat and another tanker from Russia’s shadow oil fleet were also damaged.
