MBDA and Luch Design Bureau have agreed to cooperate on further development of the Neptune cruise missile system, according to MBDA’s official website.
The companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement focuses on long-range strike capabilities, which, as stated, “highlights MBDA’s contribution to supporting Ukraine.”
Under the partnership, MBDA and Luch Design Bureau will work on “breakthrough innovations” to enhance long-range strike capabilities within the Neptune-2 programme, while also deepening strategic defence cooperation with Ukraine.
MBDA noted that it brings technologies, expertise, and cross-border partnerships for the development and delivery of long-range strike systems and technologies.
At the same time, Luch Design Bureau contributes specialised knowledge, capabilities, and experience in the design, development, integration, and production of complex missile systems.
