Ukrainian company Roboneers has codified the ShaRys PRO Mk.19 (M) unmanned ground combat robotic system. The manufacturer told the outlets “Militarnyi” and “Oboronka”.
The complex is supplied as a ready-to-use combat system, comprising the platform, a remotely operated module and the weapon. The Shablya Mk.19 (M) can use the Ukrainian-made 40 mm AGL-53 automatic grenade launcher, as well as the MK19 or an equivalent. The stated effective engagement range is up to 1,500 metres.
The combat module can fire with aiming based on pre-set coordinates. Its horizontal traverse sector is up to 160°, and its vertical elevation range is from -10° to +65°.
On hard surfaces, the Rys PRO has a range of 70–85 km, while off-road it is 25–35 km. The platform’s maximum speed reaches 12 km/h. In motion, the system can operate for up to five hours. If the platform is in standby mode, the battery pack provides 72 to 85 hours of autonomous operation.
The Rys PRO weighs 555 kg without weapons and ammunition. The stated communications range in open terrain is 1.1–2.7 km, and in rough terrain 0.6–0.8 km.
Deploying the ShaRys PRO Mk.19 (M) takes up to 10 minutes. Folding the system down takes the same amount of time. Two operators are required to run the system.
At the same time, the base Rys PRO platform is not limited to use as part of a strike system. Depending on the module installed, it can be used for fire support, reconnaissance, surveillance and logistics tasks.
Codification allows the ShaRys PRO Mk.19 (M) to take part in state procurement and opens the possibility of its serial supply to Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
What is known about Roboneers
Roboneers manufactures unmanned ground robotic systems that can follow designated units on the battlefield and carry not only specially equipped gear but also individual service personnel. Its developments include the Shablya combat module, which enhances a side’s protective and combat capabilities regardless of the weather.
Roboneers presented the Rys+ unmanned ground robotic system in April 2026. The platform is suitable for logistics and evacuation. According to the manufacturer, the system has a range of up to 80 km and can carry out missions up to 40 km one way without intermediate recharging. Payload capacity is 350 kg. It has automatic cargo release and can evacuate two people at the same time. Maximum speed is 14 km/h. At the military’s request, remote control of the headlights was added, and the payload capacity and cargo-bed area were increased.
Roboneers’ UGV line also includes the Rys (the smallest in size, range and payload, suitable for rapid delivery), the Rys Pro (higher payload, speed and range), the Rys Max, the Rys+, and the ShaRys combat platform with various types of weaponry.
In June 2026, Ukraine’s Roboneers and Germany’s ARX Robotics announced that they were creating a joint venture, ARX Industries, which will produce Rys Pro systems at production sites in Germany and Ukraine. In the first year of operation, the company plans to manufacture thousands of UGV units, and in subsequent years to gradually increase volumes to tens of thousands per year.
