In October, the Ukraine Energy Support Fund signed 90 contracts for the supply of equipment with a total value of nearly €200m. This is a record figure for a single month since the Fund began operating.

According to the minister, in 2026 the Fund significantly increased its pace of work and is helping energy companies restore infrastructure more quickly after Russian attacks.

Overall, since the start of the year, 660 contracts worth €515m have been signed. The total value of the Fund’s contracts over its entire period of operation has exceeded €1.32bn.

These funds are being used to purchase power transformers, substation equipment, machinery and other critically important components to restore electricity, heat and gas supplies in communities.

During the conversation, the parties also agreed on further steps to identify priority needs and order equipment to strengthen the resilience of Ukraine’s energy system.

Shmyhal thanked the Energy Community Secretariat, Artur Lorkowski and the Fund’s international donors for supporting Ukraine’s energy sector.
