Ukraine has raised the issue of returning to the line of contact in Donbas the way it was on 19 September 2014, thus putting Debaltseve under Ukraine's control, Darka Olifer, the press secretary of Ukraine's representative at the trilateral contract group, Leonid Kuchma, has said. Further implementation of the framework agreement on the disengagement of forces can happen after Debaltseve is demilitarized, she said on Facebook after the 23 November meeting.
The parties to the talks reached agreement that disengagement near Stanytsya Luhanska can be held as of 26 November 2016 provided Luhansk militants honour a cease-fire.
Although Ukraine was prepared to fully launch a checkpoint in Zolote this morning, it remained blocked by the militants, Olifer said. She added the sides agreed to have it opened by 10 December.
No progress has been reached on the release of hostages, according to Iryna Herashchenko, Ukraine's negotiator at the humanitarian subgroup.
