Prosecutor-General Yuriy Lutsenko at a meeting in the city of Dnipro on 21 July said that salaries of prosecutors will be increased by 30 to 70%. He said the salary rise of prosecutors of regional and local prosecutor's offices will also depend on the experience.
The chief prosecutor and his deputies are entitled to a 30% salary increase.
The increase in the salaries in the prosecutor's office is stipulated by amendments to the state budget, adopted on 13 July.
The bill has yet to be signed into law by the president.
