Four ATO troops have been killed in the enemy shelling of Krasnohorivka, and another soldier was killed in the area Novhorodske since the beginning of the day.
At about 4 am four Ukrainian soldiers were killed and two were wounded in a shalling attack of Krasnohorivka, the Defence Ministry's press officer Col. Andriy Lysenko told a briefing on Thursday.
Another soldier died in the shelling of Novhorodske.
Lysenko said the militants fired mortars, 122-mm artillery, tanks and Grad P multiple missile launchers. The return fire of Ukrainian troops quenched the offensive.
Over the past two days, six Ukrainian military were killed and seven were wounded in action in the ATO zone.
