Two people are reported wounded in a night shootout on Kyiv's Laherna St. One of the wounded died, metropolitan police said in a Monday report.
The circumstances of the incident are being investigated, the police are focused on the search for persons involved in the shootout.
The head of the metropolitan police, Andriy Kryshchenko, told reporters at the crime scene outside a gambling that the shooting was due to a corporate conflict.
"There are two court decisions that awarded ownership [of the property] to two different entities," he said.
He said the shooting was the culmination of a standoff between security services of two rival groups.
The deceased was 34 years old. According to preliminary data, he was shot from a traumatic pistol.
The second victim was taken to a hospital, there is no threat to his life.
