President Petro Poroshenko attended the tests of man-portable antitank missile systems Javelin.
"The launches of Javelin missile systems were held for the first time in Ukraine today. Thanks to them, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' combat capacity has increased significantly. This is a very effective defensive weapon which will be used if Russia launches an offensive against the positions of Ukrainian troops," he said on Facebook and published a video of the exercise.
< In late April, the USA said that it would supply Ukraine with Javelins.
The Ukrainian army will only be able to use it in combat only in case of an enemy offensive.
