The Education Ministry has suggested that all educational establishments should consider higher security measures.
It sent relevant instructions to local educational authorities and the Kyiv city state administration on 22 May following a number of mass poisoning cases at schools in the recent weeks.
In particular, the Education Ministry suggested limiting access to schools for those who are not involved in the educational process as well as checking visitors for poisonous, explosive and other hazardous things.
Since early May, several cases of mass poisoning of school children have taken place in Kharkiv, Mykolayiv, Cherkasy and Novomoskovsk (Dnipropetrovsk Region).
