The Central Electoral Commission has registered MP Olha Bohomolets and 5.10 party leader Hennadiy Balashov as presidential candidates.
Bohomolets is running as an independent candidate. Born in 1966, she is a non-partisan member of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction, the chairman of the parliamentary committee for healthcare.
Balashov was nominated by the 5.10 party. Born in 1961, he is a former MP (1998-2002) and entrepreneur.
They may start campaigning on 19 January.
Ukrainians will go to polls to elect the president on 31 March 2019.
