President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has refused to visit Minsk for the opening of the European Games to which he was invited by Belarusian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka, xsport.ua has said quoting presidential press secretary Yuliya Mendel.
"No visits to Minsk are planned these days," Mendel said.
Guests at the opening include Russia's Vladimir Putin and Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev was also invited.
Minsk will host the European Games on 21-30 June. Over 3,000 athletes from 50 countries of the world will be competing in 15 sports.
