According to the sociological research "Early programming as a component of modern education" conducted by Gorshenin Institute together with the Everest group of companies, more than half of Ukrainians (57.5%) believe that programmers will definitely be in demand in 5-10 years. Another 31.3% "rather agreed" with this opinion. Only one in 10 of the respondents (10.8%) expects this specialisation to lose its relevance. ("Rather disagree" - 4.9%, "definitely disagree" - 1.5%).

"The extent to which various professions are directly integrated into computer and information technology grows year on year, and so does the demand for such cadres. The specialisations based on the knowledge of programming and ICT generate the highest employment, according to international statistics, in the USA alone, more than 500,000 new jobs are expected to be created in this category over a period of 6-10 years. Need is driven by demand: technologies are firmly rooted in the life of society and are scaled every day. It is important to take into account the fact that the coding and ICT skills are an absolute advantage in building a successful career not only in IT, it is actually a "pass" to high-paying work in any field of activity," the president of the Everest group of companies, Yuriy Chubatyuk, said, commenting on the results of the study.

The sociological study "Early programming as a component of modern education" was conducted among 1,000 respondents in April-May 2019.
