Ukraine cannot counteract the full-scale invasion of Russia but we can put up such conditions that the assessment of possible losses by the aggressor will make it impossible to make such a decision in principle. And this is the main task of the defence policy of Ukraine, Oleksiy Gridin, the head of the Centre for Public Management and Administration CUBE and a board member of the Ukrainian Security Studies Institute, has said at a roundtable at Gorshenin Institute.
"Accordingly, all doctrines and programmes should proceed directly from this: what should Ukraine do, what steps, what resources and where to direct, to make impossible the very decision to draw us into a full-blown conflict,” the expert noted.
The round table “Key military challenges for Ukraine and the state’s response capabilities” was held on August 7, 2019 in Kiev, at the Gorshenin Institute. The organizers of the round table were the Gorshenin Institute, Ukrainian Institute for Security Studies (UIBD).
