New National Police chief appointed

The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed Ihor Klymenko chief of the National Police of Ukraine.

Previously, Klymenko served as deputy chief of the National Police.

His predecessor Serhiy Knyazev tendered his resignation on 24 September.

The government has also appointed Serhiy Yarovyy first deputy interior minister and Serhiy Honcharov, Tetyana Kovalchuk, Anton Herashchenko, Kateryna Pavlyuchenko and Oleksandr Gogilashvili as deputy ministers.
