President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that all gambling establishments will be closed in Ukraine.
"Yesterday, parliament failed to pass the bill on the legalization of gambling. We know who is behind it. You do not want to play by transparent rules? You do not want to work in a civilised manner and pay to the budget? Well, let's do it differently. From now on, we'll close all gambling halls," Zelenskyy said.
Gambling de jure has been banned in Ukraine since the summer of 2009.
Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said that the National Police would close down all gambling outlets in Ukraine as of 4 p.m. on 20 December.
