Parliament has issued a statement in which it instructed its delegation to the PACE to apply for participation in its annual session in 2020.
"The purpose of the Ukrainian delegation's participation in the PACE is to prevent the existing situation in Europe resulting from the aggressive foreign policy of the Russian Federation, to provide unbiased information about the unlawful acts of the Russian Federation in the occupied territories of our country and Ukraine's efforts to end armed aggression by a Council of Europe member country and overcome its consequences, as well as prevent the use of the PACE rostrum to spread false narratives about the situation in Ukraine," the statement reads.
The next PACE session is scheduled to be held in Strasbourg (France) for 27-31 January.
The Ukrainian delegation did not take part in the autumn session of the PACE in protest against the return of voting rights to the Russian delegation.
