Ukrainian airlines will suspend direct flights to China after 4 February due the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus there, the director general of Boryspil airport, Oleg Struk, has said at a briefing.
"The airlines have notified us about the suspension of direct flights to China. We are waiting for three more flights by UIA and SkyUp on 31 January, 2 February and 4 February. After this, the airlines based at Boryspil airport will carry out no direct flights from China for a month," he said.
According to Struk, normally there are 14-15 flights between China and Ukraine per month.
