Approximately 20 Ukrainians who received Russian passports before of war, tried to leave to the EU, - National Bureau of Investi

Employees of the National Bureau of Investigation together with the State Border Guard Service have reveal that Ukrainian citizens make attempts to cross the border using recently issued passports of a citizen of the Russian Federation.

About 20 such cases have been revealed in recent days, the press service of National Bureau of Investigation informed.

It was found that a certain number of Ukrainian citizens in the pre-war period have received Russian passports at Russian consulates in Ukrainian cities without renouncing Ukrainian citizenship at the same time.

Considering that men with age from 18 to 60 are restricted to leave the country during martial law, these individuals are trying to travel to EU countries using aggressor country documents," - the statement said.

The National Bureau of Investigation emphasizes the inadmissibility of such actions and states that it will take all measures to prevent violations of restrictive rules.
