The Russian occupiers disrupted the evacuation of Izyum residents.
The head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleh Synegubov announced this in his Telegram.
"Dozens of buses sent to evacuate the residents did not reach the city. Only six vehicles evacuated about 250 people," Sinegubov said.
He added that the humanitarian convoy with food, water, warm clothes and other essentials did not reach the city.
The city is practically destroyed. There is no electricity, gas, heating, or water. Mobile communication, internet, radio / TV do not work in Izyum. Everyone is hiding in bomb shelters. Local authorities went to the shelters to inform people about the evacuation. According to preliminary data, more than 5,000 people need to be evacuated! No food, no water, no heating! " - the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration emphasized.
Ukraine and Russia agreed on a ceasefire to evacuate civilians with the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross. The military agrees to cease fire today from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for humanitarian corridors.
Earlier, 25 evacuation buses left Sumy with more than a thousand people. Also, almost one hundred and fifty inhabitants managed to leave the Volnovakha area.
