The Czech Republic is preparing to recognize the Holodomor in Ukraine in 1932-33 as an act of genocide against the Ukrainian people.
This was announced by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Czech Republic Yevhen Perebyinis.
"The Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament has just unanimously recognized the Holodomor in Ukraine in 1932-33 as an act of genocide against the Ukrainian people," the ambassador said.
At this moment, this decision should be supported by another chamber of the Czech parliament.
Recall that on 5 April the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic adopted a resolution condemning war crimes committed by the russian militaries in Ukraineand calling for the punishment of the guilty and tougher sanctions against russia.
