Ukraine's air defence forces shot down a Russian cruise missile over the Odessa region.

This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Odessa City Council referencing Operational Command South.

"Another missile strike was launched in Odessa oblast. A cruise missile was fired from an enemy plane, which was accurately shot down over the sea by air defence forces," the statement said.

On May 9, the russian military fired at the Odessa oblast twice in a day. In the morning, four Onyx missiles from the Bastion complex in the occupied Crimea hit the Odesa oblast.

In the evening, the enemy fired three missiles at tourist infrastructure, and a fire broke out.
