In two months, the rock band Metallica was able to raise a million dollars to help Ukraine, which is struggling with russian aggression.

This was reported on the team's website.

35 Metallica fan clubs also joined the fundraiser, raising $60,000.

The funds will be donated to the World Central Kitchen. She provides food for people affected by natural disasters and has been working in Ukraine for the past three months.

“While this information may not appear as often in the nightly news as in previous months, we cannot forget what is at stake... That is why we are proud that you have joined us to support the starving refugees and double the influence we would have ourselves,” the rock band said.

Later, the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol Petro Andryushchenko said that with these funds the World Central Kitchen is already feeding Mariupol residents in the “I am Mariupol” centres in Kyiv, Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia.

We are reminding, that in early April, the charity fund of the American band Metallica "All Within My Hands Foundation" donated $500,000 to help displaced Ukrainians.
