The French satirical weekly magazine Charlie Hebdo has published about 20 works by Ukrainian cartoonists, reported by Le Figaro.
"Respond to Rockets with Laughter": The satirical weekly magazine Charlie Hebdo honors Ukrainian cartoonists on Wednesday (May 25th) who "continue to do their job" despite the russian invasion, publishing about twenty of their caricatures in solidarity," the statement said.
Among them: a russian bear that dips its paw into a hive before being devoured by bees, soldiers who slide on a shell from a slide in a kindergarten, and instruments of torture depicting russian president vladimir putin.
"Signed by Yuri Zhuravel, Oleg Gutsol or Alexiy Kustovsky, alias Kusto, these drawings, obviously ruthless to russians, show a humor that does not want to give up in the face of arbitrariness and terror," Charlie Hebdo said in a statement.
Almost all works were obtained from an exhibition organized in Odesa by the local association of cartoonists.
The Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance on April Fools’ Day, April 1, published a caricature dedicated to the "feats" of the russian army in Chornobayivka [referring to the numerous losses the occupiers had there].
