Ukraine's Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Perebyynis met Romania's ambassador to Ukrane, Alexandre Victor Micula, in Kyiv on 7 November.
"The Romanian ambassador pointed out that Bucharest would further comprehensively support Kyiv in resisting Russia's armed aggression," the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's press service said.
Perebyynis thanked Romania for supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and territory integrity and providing humanitarian and other assistance.
He also recalled Romania's willingness to join reconstruction efforts in Ukraine.
The sides discussed Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration ambitions and the development of border infrastructure, including the opening of new checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Romanian border.
Earlier, the Romanian Foreign Ministry denied Putin's allegations that Bucharest has territorial claims to Ukraine.
