The operational headquarters of the Defence Council of Kyiv Region has decided to ban the use of festive illumination - garlands, light decorations, etc, the head of the Kyiv regional military administration, Oleksiy Kuleba, has said.
The decision applies to both commercial, municipal and state property.
"We are resisting the enemy who is carrying out energy terror of our country. Maximum energy saving is our civil front today," Kuleba stressed.
Meanwhile, the Kyiv city council is offered not to install a Christmas tree in the capital during martial law because of the cost of its purchase, installation, maintenance and dismantling. This petition has had more than 6,000 votes of Kyiv residents.
