Generating unit No 1 of the Khmelnytskyy nuclear power plant has been reconnected to Ukraine's single energy system, the head of the regional military administration, Serhiy Hamaliy, has said.
He recalled that power supply to 1,171 settlements in Khmelnytskyy Region was shut down at noon, leaving 469,000 consumers (80%) in the region in the dark.
