On 9 April, the Russian army lost about 670 troops, four armoured vehicles and one tank. Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, Russia's personnel losses have reached 178,820, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has said.

Other Russian total combat losses reached:

personnel - about 178,820 (+670),

tanks - 3,637 (+1),

armoured combat vehicles - 7,028 (+4),

artillery systems - 2,750 (+10),

MLRS - 534 (+1),

air defence systems - 282 (+0),

aircraft - 307 (+0),

helicopters - 292 (+0),

UAVs of operational and tactical level - 2,323 (+11),

cruise missiles - 911 (+0),

ships/boats - 18 (+0),

vehicles and tankers - 5,607 (+5),

special equipment - 311 (+2).

Russia continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Maryinka sectors. Over the past day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 58 Russian attacks in these areas.
