Today, the Defence Ministers of Romania and the Netherlands, Angel Tilvar and Kajsa Ollongren, will open the European F-16 Training Centre at the Fetesti Air Base. Ukrainian pilots will be trained here, DW reports.
The training of pilots at the centre, located 150 kilometres east of Bucharest, will last six months. Lockheed, which manufactures the F-16, has provided instructors and technical staff for the training.
