Bill No 2847 fast-tracking the procedure for granting citizenship to foreigners serving in the Ukrainian Armed Forces had its second reading in the Ukrainian parliament.
Concerned individuals will not have to prove that they have resided in Ukraine for five consecutive years.
They will be considered eligible if they sign a three-year contract with the Ukrainian army.
In early October, parliament passed the law allowing foreigners and citizens without citizenship to serve in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
