On 29 January, pro-Russian militants shot at the strongpoints of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbas 19 times.
The press centre of the antiterrorist operation (ATO) has said that the separatists fired small arms and heavy machine guns at strongpoints near Shyrokyne, Starohnativka and Krasnohorivka in the Mariupol sector.
In the Donetsk sector, they shot at armed points near Novhorodske and Luhanske using an infantry fighting vehicle and a heavy machine gun. Near Donetsk airport, the ATO strongpoints in Pisky, Opytne and the Butivka mine came under fire.
The enemy stepped up activities in the Luhansk sector. It fired grenade launchers and mortars at Ukrainian servicemen near Novozvanivka.
On 28 January, the militants violated a cease-fire 71 times, wounding two Ukrainian servicemen.
