Since the start of the day, illegal paramilitary groups have shot at the Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions 20 times, the press centre of the antiterrorist operation (ATO) HQ has said.

Pro-Russian separatists fired various grenade launchers and small arms at the ATO strongpoints near Avdiyivka, Pisky and the Butivka mine, and small arms near Maryinka and Novhorodske.

In the area of Horlivka, they used heavy machine guns against the ATO strongpoints in Zaytseve, Troyitske and Novhorodske.

From Staromykhaylivka, the militants mortared Ukrainian positions near Krasnohorivka.

In the Mariupol sector, they fired 82-mm mortars on the ATO positions in Hnutove.

The ATO strongpoint near Troyitske on the border between Donetsk and Luhansk regions was fired at with 120-mm mortars.

Over the past day, one Ukrainian serviceman was wounded in combat near Maryinka, Donetsk Region.
