Since the midnight of 16 February, pro-Russian militants have launched 24 shooting attacks against the antiterrorist operation (ATO) forces in Donbas.

Apart from grenade launchers and small arms, the enemy uses mortars increasingly more often, the press centre of the ATO HQ has said.

Four times the occupiers have opened mortar fire on the strongpoints of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Krasnohorivka.

The militants fired 82-mm mortars against Ukrainian servicemen near Chermalyk and a 120-mm mortar and grenade launchers near Krymske.

They used small arms and various grenade launchers against the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strongpoints in Pisky, Opytne, Maryinka, Novhorodske and Verkhnyotoretske.

On 15 February, the ATO registered 79 shooting attacks by militants, as a result of which three Ukrainian servicemen were killed and seven were wounded. According to LB.ua, the servicemen were killed after a sabotage group set off an ammunition stock.
