A Ukrainian-made rocket, which was first tested in late March, has turned out to be a Vilkha (Olkha) high-precision rocket for the Smerch multiple rocket launcher.
"The successful test of the locally made high-precision rocket Vilkha this March is a significant achievement," President Petro Poroshenko said on Facebook.
Poroshenko handed the next batch of armaments to the Armed Forces on 27 April.
In January, President Poroshenko said the army would receive rockets within the Vilkha project and guided missile systems based on the technical solutions of the Neptune project. It was the first time the projects were publicly mentioned.
