The situation in the antiterrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas remains tense as Russia-controlled militants continue to violate a ceasefire, the ATO HQ has said on Facebook.
On 1 July, the militants opened fire against Ukrainian servicemen on 25 occasions. As a result, two Ukrainian servicemen were killed, two received gunshot wounds and one was injured in combat.
Most of the attacks, 12, occurred in the Donetsk sector in the nighttime.
Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, the Ukrainian Defence Ministry's spokesman for the ATO, said that the troops were killed when they hit a mine near Pesky.
