The Ukrainian army incurred no losses on 4 April amid 39 attacks by pro-Russian militants in Donbas, according to the morning update by the antiterrorist operation (ATO) HQ.

In the Donetsk sector, the separatists used 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers, sniper and small arms against the Butivka mine, grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms near Avdiyivka, Lebedynske and Kamyanka. The enemy also used grenade launchers near Vodyane and Maryinka, infantry fighting vehicle guns near Hnutove, heavy machine guns near Opytne and Hnutove, sniper and small arms near Shyrokyne and Vodyane.

Militants also opened fire from small arms near Pavlopil, Hnutove and Nevelske.

In the Luhansk sector, they targeted ATO strongpoints near Stanytsya Luhanska and the Donets station.

The Easter ceasefire declared as of 30 March did not last more than 10 minutes. From 30 March to 2 April 2018, pro-Russian militants carried out 101 attacks, including 93 targeted ones.
