Ukraine and China intend to double their mutual trade turnover - up to $10bn - and explore new opportunities for cooperation in agribusiness, construction, primarily infrastructure projects, energy and other sectors.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this during a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine Mr. Du Wei, the Government portal reported.
"I praise our regular meetings, and, taking advantage of the opportunity, I congratulate you and the citizens of China on the National Day of the People's Republic of China," the prime minister stressed.
Groysman noted that the potential of relations between the two countries is deepening each year, and the areas of mutual interest are expanding.
"We are grateful for the constant support and for your personal attention, and that you always find time for meetings," Mr. Du Wei stressed.
During the meeting, the prime minister thanked the Chinese ambassador for the successful completion of the project on the provision of ambulance vehicles to Ukraine, and also expressed hope for successful holding of the China International Import Expo 2018, which will be attended by a Ukrainian delegation.
