The State Statistics Service has assessed the growth of Ukraine’s gross domestic product in the first quarter at 2.2%.
Compared with the fourth quarter of 2018, GDP increased by 0.2% (taking into account the seasonal factor), according to the State Statistics Service website.
This is an operational assessment which can later be adjusted.
The National Bank of Ukraine announced in early May that GDP growth in the first quarter was 2.4%.
In 2018, Ukraine’s gross domestic product grew by 3.3% . This was the biggest increase in seven years. For comparison, in 2017, GDP grew by 2.5%, in 2016 by 2.4%.
