Results of the sociological study "Early coding as a component of modern education" will be presented at Gorshenin Institute at noon on 3 June.

In April-May 2019, Gorshenin Institute and the EVEREST group of companies conducted a sociological study "Early coding as a component of modern education". During the first stage of the study carried out in April, five focus groups made of parents of primary school students were interviewed in Dnipro, Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa and Chernihiv. Results of the focus group discussions were used to develop a questionnaire for a nationwide survey of parents of 1-11 Grade students in May. A total of 1,000 respondents were interviewed in all regions of Ukraine (excluding the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Sevastopol, certain districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions). The margin of error does not exceed +/- 3.1%.

- Do they think it is necessary to add the course of coding to the curriculum, in particular for primary school?
- What stereotypes do parents have with regard to the study of coding in primary school?
- Will knowledge of the basics of coding become a must for various professions in the future?
