Marines from the King Daniel of Galicia detached mechanised brigade are equipping the previously captured positions near Maryinka, the press centre of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) HQ has said on Facebook.
Around a month ago they equipped a number of observation posts in the suburbs of Maryinka.
They did engineering works to strengthen and develop the positions on a daily basis. By now the marines have equipped full-fledged strongpoints in the direction of Oleksandrivka.
"Thanks to the strengthened positions, units of the Joint Forces Operation reliably control the mentioned sector of responsibility in fact right up close to Donetsk. The distance between Joint Forces Operation positions and separatists near Maryinka is several hundred metres," the HQ said.
